Electrical Estimating Services

How Electrical Estimating Works

1

Receive Electrical Drawings

You submit your electrical plan set — one-line diagrams, panel schedules, floor plans, and specifications — through our secure upload portal.

2

Panel & Circuit Takeoff

Our estimators count every panel, breaker, circuit, conduit run, and wire pull directly from the drawings, noting sizes and specifications.

3

Material Quantification

All quantities are compiled by system — power, lighting, fire alarm, low voltage — in a structured spreadsheet with material descriptions and counts.

4

Deliver Estimate

Your completed electrical estimate is delivered within 24–48 hours, ready for your pricing team to add labor rates and material costs.

What electrical drawings do you need?

We work from your full electrical plan set including one-line diagrams, panel schedules, power and lighting floor plans, and the electrical specifications section of the project manual. The more complete the set, the more accurate the estimate.

Do you estimate fire alarm systems?

Yes. We include fire alarm initiating and notification devices, control panels, conduit, and wiring as part of our electrical scope. If fire alarm is a separate bid package, we can estimate it independently as well.

Do you include labor for electrical?

Our standard electrical estimate covers material quantities and takeoff only. We do not include labor hours by default, though we can provide a separate labor-unit estimate upon request at an additional fee.

Can you estimate low-voltage work?

Yes. We estimate data and communications cabling, security systems, audio-visual rough-in, and other low-voltage scopes. Just include the relevant drawings with your submittal and note which systems you need covered.

How do you handle design-build electrical?

For design-build projects with limited drawings, we can work from performance specifications, schematic diagrams, or system narratives to produce a preliminary estimate that supports your design-build proposal.

What Our Clients Say

"Plane Estimates turned around our electrical takeoff in under 36 hours and the quantities were spot-on. We won the bid and the materials matched the estimate almost perfectly. This is the kind of reliable takeoff service that makes a real difference when you are juggling multiple bids at once."
