Plane Estimates provides coordinated MEP estimating services covering all three building systems disciplines — mechanical (HVAC), electrical, and plumbing — under one roof. For large commercial and industrial projects where MEP systems represent a significant share of the total construction cost, having all three disciplines estimated together by the same team eliminates gaps, reduces coordination errors, and gives the general contractor and owner a single, reconciled cost picture.

Our mechanical estimates cover HVAC ductwork takeoffs including supply, return, and exhaust runs; equipment schedules for air handling units, fan coil units, rooftop units, and exhaust fans; hydronic piping for heating and cooling systems; and insulation quantities. Our plumbing estimates address sanitary, domestic water, and storm piping by size and material, fixture counts, equipment such as water heaters and pumps, and rough-in quantities organized by floor and system.

Electrical is estimated concurrently with mechanical and plumbing so that conflicts and shared routing paths are identified early. We also estimate fire suppression systems — wet pipe, dry pipe, and pre-action — as part of the MEP scope when fire protection drawings are included in the submittal. Control and instrumentation scopes are quantified from the control drawings and specification sections, providing a complete MEP cost framework.
